Infinite Scenario : When He Sees A Picture Of Your Ex Continued

W/N : We debated on whether or not we should focus more on the relationship with Daniel and his death, or the aftermath of the fight with Myungsoo. So, we just sort of added both ^^; There will be another part that outlines the relationship with Daniel into further depth. Enjoy~

“Why does this happen every single time? Every single time, you and him fight and we are the ones in the middle.” Sungyeol complained to you. Why did he make it sound as if he was blaming you? “Sungyeol is right, _____ah. All you two do is ever fight—why do you keep trying to make things work? Maybe the two of you should just…not be together anymore. Save all of us the stress.” Dongwoo suggested. He couldn’t meet your eyes. “I don’t see how this is my fault. Did I do something wrong?” You asked. You couldn’t believe what was happening right now. “No one is placing blame here, ____ah. We just don’t want you to go through this, and we don’t want Myungsoo to go through this either. It’s troublesome, isn’t it? Do you have any good memories of your relationship with him?” Sunggyu gently reworded. Even though he wasn’t as harsh as the other boys, you still felt hurt. Did all the boys think like this? That you and Myungsoo were bound for failure? That it was primarily your fault that this erupted? “What couple doesn’t fight? Every pair has their ups and downs, but all that matters are their feelings for each other.” Woohyun pointed out. You were thankful that he was taking your side, but when you reminded yourself that it was against his own team members, his family, you began to feel bad.

Maybe your relationship with Myungsoo would put a damper on the relationship the boys shared. Not everyone, especially after this fight, was going to support the two of you being together. Sides would be chosen, and that would lead to the inevitable path of another fight. You were done fighting. You hated fighting. This kind of thing never happened when you were with Junho. When you were with Junho, you didn’t fight every day. You felt comfortable every day, and not guilty. Because of the boys’ opposition, you began to get the gut feeling that maybe you had chosen the wrong person…that you had chosen the wrong option. The last thing you wanted was to stir up more stress into the boys’ lives. Their comeback was a week away, and rehearsals and vocal practices were becoming more and more burdensome.

But then you recognized how many times you thought of this, the idea of breaking up with Myungsoo. You always told yourself that it would benefit the group, and their mental state of mind. But maybe you were just lying to yourself to avoid the truth. Maybe the boys were right. Maybe your relationship with Myungsoo could never work.

****

“Do you still like this guy? I mean I know he’s…gone, but…” Hoya asked, as he looked through the scrapbook. The boys invaded your room at two in the morning, and demanded to see what got Myungsoo so worked up. “It doesn’t matter. He’s dead.” You snapped. Normally, you were in no way a morning person. Getting woken up by Hoya and being asked to share information on a subject that you had no interest in explaining just pissed you off. “But do you still like him? If he was alive, would you be dating him?” Hoya asked. He too was just as distressed and upset as you were. Unfortunately, you couldn’t give him the answer to his question, because you didn’t know yourself. Life had a funny way of throwing in surprises here and there—there was no way you could predict the future. “I don’t know, okay? I don’t know. I don’t want to talk about this right now.” You said. You just wanted to get some sleep, and ignore the fact that your life was falling apart right now. Ignorance was bliss for you at the moment, and you wanted to be asleep for as long as possible before you had to face your problems. “You don’t want to talk about it because you know the answer. You would love this Daniel guy if he wasn’t dead. You just don’t want to admit it to us.” Hoya narrowed his eyes at you. You scoffed in disbelief. So this was how it was going to be, then? “That’s not true. So what if I kept that. Daniel was my first love. If you had a first love, wouldn’t you keep a memoir of her?” You asked Hoya, trying to keep as calm as possible.

“Sure I would. But I would store them away in private so no one could find them. You just leaving this out in the open for all to see was your fault. Myungsoo acting the way he is right now is your fault. The reason why your relationship is doomed is your. Fault.” Hoya spat at you. You stood up from the bed, fully awake now and pumping with adrenaline. “I could care less what you think. You have no idea what it feels like to love someone, because you act too much like a bastard to get a girlfriend! If you at least experienced what I felt, than you would understand. I didn’t put it on my desk, just hoping that Myungsoo would see it. It was under my bed. It wasn’t my fault that Myungsoo offered to help me organize my room and he came across it.” You snapped.

“Guys. Let’s calm down, alright?” Woohyun suggested, standing in between you and Hoya. But the both of you simply stepped to the side, and continued arguing. “Whenever your pretty little boy gets hurt, it’s always my fault, isn’t it? I don’t even care anymore, Hoya. You can think whatever you want of me. All of you can think whatever you want of me and get out.” You pointed at the door, furious. You had rehearsals in four hours. You didn’t have time to waste with boys who were going to accuse you.

****

After 12 hours of rehearsals, you free to go home. You just wanted to take a long, hot shower and sleep the day away. Rehearsals were brutal today, even though it was just repeating the choreography for the song over and over again. You never remembered it being this difficult.

You entered your house you shared with your friend. She was gone on a three-day school field trip, and her parents were almost never home, so you were alone most of the time. Throwing your bag on the couch, you walked into your room to get some clean clothes and prepared to shower.

****

When you had gotten out of the shower, you didn’t expect Woohyun to be there, waiting for you in the living room. Startled, you nearly screamed at his presence. “Did you just get home now?” He asked. He was acting abnormally normal, as if nothing had happened. This made you suspicious. What was he doing here? But then again, you had no problem with Woohyun. “Yeah, I just took a shower. What are you doing here, oppa?” You asked, making an attempt to fix your blow-dried hair. “I just wanted to check up on you, you know. To make sure you weren’t doing anything to yourself.” He said, as if he was reciting a script. He innocently blinked his eyes. “Did you eat anything yet? Doesn’t look like it, you look bone skinny right now. I’ll cook you something!” Woohyun suggested, clapping his hands. “Expect a lot, okay?! This is going to be the best meal you ever had!” He showed you his girly aegyo, and skipped his way to the kitchen.

You had no idea how to make of his situation. Woohyun was acting more cheerful than usual, as if he was completely ignoring the elephant in the room.

You sighed, and agreed that you were too paranoid at the moment. While Woohyun was cooking away, the doorbell rang. “I’ll get it.” You called to him, expecting some delivery man. Messily tying up your hair in a ponytail, you answered the door. You were way off. Myungsoo was standing there awkwardly on the front porch, wearing sweat pants and a hoodie. Meanwhile, you were standing in front of the door, mentally scolding yourself for choosing to wear your duck pajamas and bunny slippers. You could tell that Myungsoo was stifling a laugh. So this was a set up. Woohyun was testing the waters, and when he found that everything was okay, he notified Myungsoo. I get it now. “Come on in.” You offered, not amused by two surprise appearances. He walked in before you finished your sentence, and you closed the door behind you. He walked past the kitchen, completely unaware of what was going there until he walked back a few paces and found Woohyun cooking. “Hyung?” Myungsoo asked. Woohyun yelped, and turned around, a spatula held in front of him like some weapon. “Oh this is not good.” Woohyun said.

You laughed. “What are you talking about? You can stop pretending, I know this is a set up.” Myungsoo and Woohyun gave you blank stares, as if they had no idea what you were talking about. Your smile slowly vanished. “What are you doing here?” Myungsoo asked Woohyun. It was just a moment of confusion, as everyone tried to process this situation. “I was making her dinner, because I have the decency to do so. What are you doing here?” Woohyun asked, throwing the spatula in the stainless steel sink, and crossing his arms over his chest. “I just came to…to…” Myungsoo stammered, his hand at the back of his neck.  “____ah. Woollim is having a company dinner, and we need to bring dates. Will you go with me?” Woohyun asked you. He faithfully ignored Myungsoo’s gaping expression. “What right do you have to ask her?” He asked, dropping his formal tone. Woohyun scoffed. “While everyone was teaming up against her, I was the only one that defended her. Where the hell were you? Do you think that problems can just go away if you isolate yourself? The rest of us are trying to make things right, _____ah is trying to make this right, but you aren’t making this any easier.” Woohyun snapped.

You debated on whether or not you should stop this argument before it lead to a physical fight. On one hand, you were curious as to what right Myungsoo had to talk to Woohyun like that. Woohyun really was the only one who was there for you when the rest of the boys accused and blamed you. He was the only one that stood up for you. But you didn’t want to cause a separation between Myungsoo and Woohyun. You already had an idea of what would happen if you didn’t stop them. Sunggyu, Dongwoo and Hoya would definitely be on Woohyun’s side. Sungjong and Sungyeol would be on Myungsoo’s.

You couldn’t do that to them. Their comeback was next week, you couldn’t do this to their friendship. When you snapped out of your thoughts, both boys were looking at you, as if anticipating what you had to say. You were confused, and stared at both of them. “Well? Which one are you going with?” Myungsoo asked. Was he really asking that question? “Everyone had every reason not to believe in me, but Woohyun was the only one who did. While the rest of the boys were saving your ass, Woohyun was the only one that actually cared about me. Who do you think I’m going to chose?” You asked. Woohyun laughed.

Myungsoo’s reply was halted, as the doorbell ran for the third time that day. “I’ll get it. You two, solve your problems.” Woohyun said, walking between the two of you. Not a single sound was uttered. The tension in the air was growing rapidly, to the point where you wanted to break down and cry. It never used to be this awkward around Myungsoo. “___ah? There is this guy who says he knows you.” Woohyun called. “It’s probably some creepy stalker. Get him out.” You joked. When you saw who it was, your jaw droppd as you gasped. Myungsoo stared at the American guy as if he was some bacteria. “Daniel.”

****

All you could do was stare. What was going on? “You’re supposed to be dead…you died…I saw you…” You muttered, tears swelling in your eyes. You covered your mouth with your hand, as the tears fell. “I’m guessing this is Daniel, then.” Woohyun muttered. “____ I can’t understand you.” Daniel slowly said in English. English was almost a mutant language for you now. It took you a while to fully process what he had said, and come up with an English response. “I don’t understand…I saw you die…in the hospital…” You said. “They were able to save me. I came back for you.” Daniel said, with a smile. “So, how old is this guy?” Myungsoo asked you.

Woohyun stood beside you, and held your arm in case you fainted. “I should have paid attention in English class…” He muttered, before clearing his throat. “She is not…feeling the…well. Please, uh, return some other time, ne?” Woohyun said in broken English, adding a Korean question at the end. Daniel gave Woohyun a weird look. “Can you give me some time alone to talk with him, oppa?” You asked Woohyun, afraid. You had seen Daniel literally the minute before he died. You went to his funeral. All his family, his friends…you had seen them mourn. So how could it be that Daniel was alive? Who was in the coffin? The machines that were attached to his dying body…

“You look like you’re going to faint. You think we’re going to leave you alone with this guy?” Myungsoo asked in ridicule. Woohyun sighed. “Myungsoo-ah. Let’s go.”

Infinite Scenarios: When He Sees Pictures of Your Ex

W/N : We haven’t published a scenario in a long time ~ We hope you enjoy ^^

“What’s this?” You heard Myungsoo ask. You were trying to clean up your room at your friend’s house. Finals were just a few weeks ago, and there was no way you were going to study in a pig sty. When you first moved in, you had attempted to unpack, but in the end, you just dumped your belongings on any empty space, and left them there. The messiness, ironically, helped you find things quicker. You turned around, and found him holding a scrapbook. On the front, black stickers spelled out FOREVER. Without your permission, he opened the book.  Inside were pictures of you, and your ex Daniel. You smiled, catching glimpses of pictures as Myungsoo turned the pages. Each page had a collage of pictures, the whole four years you and Daniel were together back in America. He was your first love, your first boyfriend. He was the first boy you ever introduced to your parents, your first kiss, and your first date. He was the first person to gift you with jewelry, and the first person to make you feel special.

“Who is this guy? He sort of looks like Lee Joon sunbae.” Myungsoo stated, his voice sour as he kept turning the countless pages in the scrapbook. Your idiotic smile was still plastered on your face as you dropped what you were carrying and answered, in a dreamy voice. “Daniel.” You said, with a sigh. Myungsoo turned to the page, where a promise ring was glued onto the paper. You remembered when Daniel had given that to you. He made you promise that you two were going to stick together through everything and anything, forever. He even wrote on the scrapbook paper:

DEAR ________,

IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH I CAN LOVE YOU. YOU ARE MY WORLD, MY EVERYTHING. THIS RING CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS FOR YOU. BUT JUST KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY HEART, MY LIFE. I CAN’T SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU. YOU HAVE BECOME SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF MY LIFE AND MY EXISTENCE. I DON’T EVER WANT TO LOSE YOU. I LOVE YOU, ________. I ALWAYS WILL.

DANIEL

You read that message over so many times, you recited it by heart. You could tell that Myungsoo was trying to decipher the message. Walking over, you took the book from him, and closed it. With tears swelling in your eyes, you threw the book in the trash. What were you doing, reminiscing? It was no use. He was gone now. “I was reading that. Why would you throw that away now?” Myungsoo asked, not pleased. “He died, the year he gave me that ring. He had a concussion, then slipped into an unexpected coma. He never woke up.” You explained, your voice shaky. Myungsoo looked at you, unsure of how to act in this situation. You wiped the tears off your face, and took a deep breath. “I should have thrown that out a long time ago. I don’t know why I kept it.” You nervously laughed, trying to break the awkward silence floating around the room. Myungsoo kept quiet, and stared at the edges of the book poking out of the trash can. He looked as if he was debating whether or not to scorn at you for keeping that book filled with pictures of another boy, or to comfort you.

But if he comforted you, that would have been odd. Comforting you about the death of your ex boyfriend? If Daniel was still alive…your relationship with Myungsoo… “I’m going to give you some time.” Myungsoo said, biting his lower lip and walking to the door. He suddenly froze. What is it now? You heard him exhale, before pointing to a small piece of paper on the wall that was supposed to be hidden with a dozen To-Do lists. He sharply ripped the paper off the tack that held it in place, and read it out loud. “’Daniel, I love you’?” Myungsoo’s English accent was perfect. You stiffened. “That was from a long time ago.” You immediately began. He dropped the piece of paper on the ground, and looked at the wall before looking at you. “If it is from a long time ago, why do you have it in your room?” He asked. You found this ridiculous. Daniel was your first boyfriend. Was it so wrong to have some mementos of him? It wasn’t as if you were talking about him constantly. You never talked about him. Was it so wrong to remind yourself of Daniel? Besides, neither Myungsoo nor you had said that you loved each other yet. You didn’t understand why this was so wrong. “I want to keep it. He was important to me.” You defended. Myungsoo scoffed. “What are you doing, thinking about someone who is dead? You can never have him. He won’t ever come back. So stop living in the past, and get things together.” He snapped, kicking the piece of paper towards you.

Your heart broke with every word he said. “How could you…how could you say that to me? Did I commit a crime?! Daniel was my first love. What is so wrong about that?” You asked, feeling the tears running down your face. Your eyes stung with anger. “You are my first love. I don’t want to see things or hear things about you with anyone else. How do you think that makes me feel? You are my first. Why can’t you at least pretend that I’m yours?” Myungsoo asked, his voice quiet. He walked away, shutting the door behind him. With that, you collapsed on the floor in a heap of tears. You are my first. Why can’t you at least pretend that I’m yours?
